Marine Depot KleanWater 200 GPD Water Saver Upgrade Kit

The Marine Depot Kleanwater Water Saver Upgrade Kit allows you to add an additional TFC membrane to your existing RO or RO/DI system. The addition of the second membrane can achieve production rates up to a maximum of 200 gallons per day and reduce waste water production by as much as 66%.

There are two ways of installing this Membrane water saver kit

1) In Series - This method will reduce the overall waste water ratio of the unit. You will supply your new RO Membrane with the waste water from the previous RO membrane, so you have 2 RO membranes producing product water, but only one RO membrane creating waste water. Because you lose roughly 10psi across any RO membrane element, you MUST HAVE at least 60 psi at the feed of the first RO membrane. Marine Depot recommended.

2) In Parallel - With this method the product water and the waste water will be increased. The product water will be of better quality but you will be producing more waste water and going through pre-filters (Sediment and carbon blocks) much more quickly.

Tips and Tricks

• Ensure the feed PSI into the RO system is no less than 60 psi.
  

• Optimal Inlet Temp 77° F - (Please note that colder water will result in slower production and performance).
  

• Consider using an RO Booster pump to increase production and RO membrane rejection if pressure is under 55 psi.
  

• The use of softened water when available will minimize scaling on the RO membrane.
